African Players
Scouting Opportunity Verification and Reporting Policy
African Players helps footballers discover scouting programmes, trials, academies and clubs. This Policy explains verification labels and how to report suspicious listings.
Effective date: 1 November 2026
Reporting contact: [email protected]
1. Purpose
AfricanPlayers.com aims to help footballers discover credible scouting programmes, trials, academies, clubs and other football opportunities. This Policy explains how opportunities may be reviewed, what verification labels mean, and how users can report suspicious listings.
2. Submitting an opportunity
An organizer submitting an opportunity may be required to provide:
- Full name and verifiable contact details.
- Club, academy, agency or organization name and affiliation.
- Supporting documents or official links.
- Event dates, venue and eligibility criteria.
- Fees, expenses, travel requirements and other material conditions.
- Information about who is responsible for the event and how applicants will be contacted.
The Platform may reject incomplete submissions or request additional evidence before publishing an opportunity.
3. Verification procedure
Depending on the nature and risk of an opportunity, the Platform may:
- Check the identity of the organizer and the consistency of submitted information.
- Review supporting documents and relevant official sources.
- Contact the club, academy or organization through an independently obtained official channel where feasible.
- Confirm key details such as dates, venue, eligibility, fees and the authority of the organiser.
- Record the checks performed and the date of review.
The Company will not describe an opportunity as verified unless the checks represented by that label have actually been completed.
4. Meaning and limits of labels
The Platform may use labels such as:
- Submitted: received but not yet reviewed.
- Under review: checks are in progress.
- Verified: the stated verification checks were completed based on information available at the time.
- Not verified: the required checks were not completed or sufficient evidence was not available.
- Suspended or removed: the listing is being investigated, has expired, or no longer meets publication requirements.
A "Verified" label is not a guarantee that the organizer will behave honestly, that the opportunity will proceed, or that a player will be selected. Information may change or fraud may occur after verification. Users should independently confirm important details before paying fees, travelling or sharing sensitive information.
5. Fees and payment requests
An opportunity must disclose material fees and expenses before applicants commit. The Platform will review suspicious payment demands and may suspend a listing while investigating.
Users should be cautious where an organizer:
- Guarantees a professional contract, scholarship, visa or selection in exchange for money.
- Requests payment to a personal account without a credible explanation or documentation.
- Pressures applicants to pay urgently or keep the transaction secret.
- Requests passwords, one-time codes, unnecessary identity documents or inappropriate images.
- Uses inconsistent contact details or falsely claims an official club affiliation.
A legitimate event may charge fees for disclosed services, but payment alone does not establish legitimacy.
6. Reporting suspicious opportunities
Users can report an opportunity through the contact form (subject: Complaint) or email [email protected]. Include the listing link, organizer details, screenshots or transaction evidence where available, and an explanation of the concern.
The Platform may acknowledge a report, request more information, contact the organizer, temporarily hide a listing, remove it, restrict an account or refer credible concerns to relevant authorities. We will avoid promising a fixed investigation outcome or timeline until an operational response standard has been adopted.
7. Clubs, scouts and organizers
Clubs, scouts, agents and organizers are responsible for ensuring their listings and representations are accurate and lawful. They must promptly notify the Platform of material changes or cancellation and must not impersonate another organization.
The Platform may request re-verification, reject a submission, suspend a listing or restrict an account where evidence is inconsistent, outdated or suspicious.
8. Commercial listings
The Platform may eventually offer paid promotion or listing services. Payment for promotion will not automatically confer verified status. Commercial arrangements and verification decisions should be kept distinct, and paid placement should be clearly identified.
Any scout or club registration fees remain subject to future service terms and a published fee schedule. No such fee is established by this Policy.
9. Privacy and records
Information collected during verification or investigations will be handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Access to identity documents, complaints and investigation records should be restricted to authorized personnel and retained only as necessary.
10. Contact and review
